SOCKS
Socks are often underestimated in accessories, yet they are the silent drivers of consistent growth. Designing socks is surprisingly intricate, with every detail playing a crucial role in ensuring long-term comfort and durability for customers. I played a key role in expanding the dual-gender sock business at Coach and led the launch of the sock category at Purple Brand, establishing it as a core offering.
Building a Core Collection
I spearheaded the design and development of a core sock collection for Purple Brand, establishing a strong foundation for a new accessory category. This initiative ensured consistent brand messaging while providing space for seasonal graphics and color variations. Through careful material selection and a focus on perfecting the fit, the sock collection has since become a staple within the brand, contributing to its long-term success.
COLD WEATHER
I introduced and developed knit and woven cold weather accessories for Purple Brand, building a strong core collection while leaving room for seasonal novelty. Through a carefully curated assortment of scarves and beanies, I created new opportunities for seasonal revenue and provided a versatile toolkit for brand styling and messaging. This approach not only strengthened the brand's product offering but also enhanced its ability to connect with consumers in fresh, engaging ways.
I expanded our core print and pattern stories by introducing screen-printed and digitally printed bandanas, creating the perfect entry point into our newly developed accessory business. These pieces became the foundation for building out a fresh category, blending bold design with accessible style.
